Our design challenge was to compliment the architecture of the home, which was traditional in the front yard, with an ultra-modern addition in the backyard.

Working within the boundaries of the historical board for the front yard, the design was kept simple with a beautiful blend of traditional and modern elements. Our planting plan was designed to have both loose and structured planting, en masse, framing the lawn to create the look and feel of a traditional lawn court. The polished concrete walls and stepping stones added the modern element and bridged the gap between old and new.

The beauty of this backyard is all in the details! Working with the ultra-modern addition, we chose traditional materials installed in a modern fashion. The herringbone pattern of the pavers ties in beautifully with the interior design of the home. The sunken patio beside the pool creates a unique, lounging area and view of the pool. The gas fire table adds a warm ambiance. The planting softens the hardscape elements while providing low maintenance and year-round interest. This backyard has everything you need to entertain! Dining, lounge, steel arbour, outdoor kitchen, pool, spa, gas fire table, outdoor shower, changeroom and dog run. Who could ask for anything more!
