At Joel Loblaw, we specialize in both designed softscapes and hardscapes. However, there are times when we are asked to work with other architects and fulfill only one element of a project. Such was the case with this small downtown home in the heart of the Annex, where we collaborated with AGATHOM Co. For our part, we took the existing garden and gave it a retrofit to complement the tiered stone patio and unique waterfall designed by respected architects Adam and Katja Thom. In the end, we reused some of the original plants and added new materials to create a peaceful garden that enhanced (rather than detracted from) the innovative hardscape.
