An unexpected cube of light – softened by a stand of hydrangea – acts as a subtle beacon in this normally staid Rosedale neighbourhood. It seems to say, there’s something a little different, and perhaps more exciting going on at this place. The backyard features two patios that can be accessed by way of a carefully retrofitted deck. Lush perennials and hedging were added to compliment a lovely red brick wall that surrounds the garden. There was an existing mirror at the back of the garden that we liked, so we decided to add two more. In fact, the mirrors echo the light cube out front, which helps to unite both gardens.
