We worked alongside Sarah Richardson’s team on this Cape Cod-style home on the shores of Lake Erie. A balcony that tucks into the distinctive gambrel roofline provides views of the new mass plantings and the lake beyond. A circuitous flagstone pathway, surrounded by sedges, leads to a cedar terrace with a stairway down to the beach. This elegant solution, which preserved all the mature trees, enhances the warmth and charm of this year-round getaway.
