For this Markham property, we were asked to recreate the distinctive atmosphere of the Muskokas. To begin, we retrofitted the existing garden with a raised kitchen patio (that holds a dining area for outdoor eating). Staggered steps were added, leading to a sunken patio bordered by a post-and-beam arbor. The stone patio, select grasses, surrounding trees and pool ensured that the grounds provided a place for the residents to relax. The end result was a peaceful retreat that evoked the spirit of the Muskokas.
