A series of outdoor rooms was created using furniture, a number of levels and corten steel walls — all of which echo the rhythmic nature of the modern building. A boardwalk-like pathway leads from the cedar shed to the main outdoor rooms with a series of low steps making for an easy change of grade down to the garden. The thoughtful interplay of cedar and rusted corten steel connects the house to the deck and the deck to garden.
